Beard Construction has strengthened its senior team by appointing Dean Averies as Director of its Oxford office in Cumnor Hill.
Mr Averies, who has been the company's construction director in Oxford for the past two years, will take over from John Youle who retired last year.
Having worked with the company for 29 years, Mr Averies will be responsible for the strategic direction and regional development of Beard's Oxford office. The division carries out design and build, new build, restoration and refurbishment projects up to £16 million for public and private sector organisations.
Speaking on his appointment, Mr Averies said: "I'm delighted to have the opportunity of heading up our Oxford operations at the start of an exciting new phase of business growth.
"I have a dedicated and talented construction team working with me and together we are looking forward to growing the business through outstanding client service and a commitment to prompt and faultless project delivery."
David Sershall, Managing Director of Beard, said: "I'm delighted that we have someone of Dean's calibre and construction experience heading up our Oxford operations and taking the business forward.
"With his proven expertise in successful project delivery, commitment to exceptional client service and in-depth knowledge of the regional construction market, I am confident he will achieve great things for Beard in the region."
