Planning permission has been granted for a six storey development in Wimbledon.
The site is located at a run-down car park at the junction of Milner Road and Morden Road.
The residential project will comprise of fifteen apartments, three townhouses and a commercial unit at street level.
The building, designed by architects Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios (FCB studios), will be developed using CLT (Cross Laminated Timber).
The architectural firm said the design had to incorporate lightweight construction materials due to a London Underground tunnel located directly under the site.
Development is due to start on site later this year with completion due by mid 2017.
