Looking to repair the sash windows in your listed building?
When you contact MCR Joinery, you can rest assured that your windows will be worked by professional and time served craftsmen, who all have at least 10 years' experience of sliding sashes.

Most of the work will be done inside your property to reduce the need for external access. Your windows will always be made secure and left tidy at the end of each working day.

An economic solution
You don't need to worry about us replacing your whole window. We offer an environmentally friendly alternative to complete replacement windows. In a lot of cases a lot of the original window and glass can be retained, this reduces the waste disposal and the use of new materials.

During this process, any rotten areas will be replaced with new timber, draft strips fitted to the perimeter of all sashes and staff and parting beads will be replaced. Any original fittings can then be stripped and polished, or new ironmongery can be installed together with security locks to all vulnerable windows.

Keeping the heat in and noise out
Are you looking to improve the draught proofing in your property? One effective way that you can do this is by having double glazing fitted onto existing sash windows. MCR Joinery are able to double glaze existing sash windows, and have plenty of experience in doing so. The units that we use allow us to retain the original windows moulding detail and glazing bar sections together with traditional putty pointing.

The type of double glazing that we work with can be incorporated into existing windows, new sash casements or complete replacement windows.
