About J. M. Dixon Associates Limited
Established in 1984 JM Dixon Associates Ltd is a leading independent engineering consultancy offering design services to the storage tank, pressure vessel and heat exchanger industries. We can provide full mechanical design and draughting services accompanied with design code verification calculations and stress analysis to suit all your project needs.
JM Dixon Associates Ltd is able to offer design and consulting services for a complete range of pressure vessels and storage tanks, having the experience of over 25 years of designing to code; from the smallest vessels to recently working on one of the largest vessels in the world.
In more recent years we have added further CAD design packages, such as Inventor professional and SolidWorks have been involved in complete package designs for offshore skids including pressure vessels, structural steel, and all pipework. Additionally we are now regularly asked to compile suitability for service reports for storage vessels and tanks in the petrochemical industries, for which we produce bespoke reports that demonstrate if the vessels and tanks meet relevant code requirements.
Storage Tanks
As a leader in storage tank design, JM Dixon Associates Ltd. offer designs for a complete range of storage tanks with expertise working to all of the recognised tank codes and standards such as EN14015, API 650, API 620, API 653 & EEMUA 159. We are the leading independent tank designers in the UK and carry out work for all of the main UK tank fabricators.
Pressure Vessels
JM Dixon Associates Ltd Design & Consulting Engineers offer drafting and pressure vessel design services for all applications and in accordance with all major design codes and directives. Over the years we have established a long and loyal client list ranging from small independent fabricators to large multinational companies; providing services for a wide variety of industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, offshore, nuclear, hygienic, food and beverage.
Heat Exchangers
JM Dixon Associates Ltd undertake the mechanical design of all types of Heat Exchanger and have designed to most configurations listed in TEMA. We work extensively with PD5500, ASME VIII DIV. 1, EN 13445 and TEMA classes R, C & B and can supplement these where necessary with individual company and industry specifications and requirements.
Skid Packages
From the initial receipt of client P&ID’s and project specifications JM Dixon Associates are able to develop and complete a fully detailed package design. JM Dixon Associates have expertise in the full mechanical design and detailing of skid mounted modular equipment for both Offshore and Onshore. Experience attained in the above industries also allows us to offer general mechanical engineering design and drafting capabilities to various other industries.
Structural Steel Work
JM Dixon Associates can help you fulfil the requirements for BS EN 1090 CE marking of fabricated structural steelwork! Our engineers can provide structural design and calculations for a variety of fabricated steel structures ranging from simple platforms and walkways through to complex support frames and runway beam structures.
Ancillary Equipment/Miscellaneous
JM Dixon Associates have the capability to design and verify those items of equipment that don’t fall under any specific design code.
