Devcon (UK) ltd is a Chartered Building Consultancy, as we ventured into full time training providers from being a Chartered Building Company back in 2006.

Shaun Valentine has worked in the construction industry for 26 years, he is the Managing Director of Devcon (UK) Ltd and our training facilities are located at Basildon in Essex. Shaun is a part-time lecturer at Oakland’s College in Welwyn Garden City where he delivers tutorials for candidates studying for Level 4 Certificate/Diploma in Site Management. Having graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 1999, with an Honours Degree in Building and Construction Management, Shaun achieved Chartered Status of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) entitling him to use the designation MCIOB. He became a Fellow FCIOB in 2005.

Shaun now specialises in consultancy services for construction companies who would like to progress their staff through the different stages of membership of the Chartered Institute of Building, offering assistance to help them progress to Chartered Status. Devcon (UK) Ltd, deliver Experienced Practitioners Assessment Programmes, and Professional Review Workshops to give assistance with writing the report and interview techniques.

Shaun has all the expertise and knowledge needed to help Companies achieve this most highly regarded professional qualification. CIOB Chartered Members are considered to be amongst the most highly respected professionals working within the international construction industry. Devcon (UK) Ltd is able to provide tutoring and mentoring to all different levels of staff.

Shaun Valentine has a passion for the Chartered Institute of Building as he is presently the Essex Centre Chairman and Eastern Branch Chairman.
