About Socomec U.K. Limited

Innovative power solutions

An electrical equipment engineering and manufacturing company, specialising in low voltage energy performance.
An international Group with the culture and values of a family-owned company:
  • Ensuring sustainable growth through independence and long-term vision
  • Fostering a strong company culture every day: Responsibility - Openness - Commitment
  • Creating value for our customers through innovation, expertise and skills
POWER PROTECTION, TRANSFER & DISTRIBUTION
Our power protection and transfer distribution solutions manage power and protect people and facilities. Availability and compliance priorities are driving the increased adoption of transfer switching technology. Equipped for the smart facilities of today and tomorrow, the latest products in this field help reduce installation costs and improve performance levels. These power protection and transfer switching solutions are securing power and simplifying energy management across critical applications, being deployed more widely to deliver the ultimate peace of mind throughout the supply chain.

POWER QUALITY, MONITORING AND METERING
Our power quality monitoring and metering solutions will improve energy performance while helping to support informed decision making. The efficient management of energy costs starts with the accurate measurement and centralised monitoring of energy consumption. As the market leader in energy metering for over 20 years, our solutions enable you to take greater levels of control over energy usage and efficiency than ever before. By implementing power metering and monitoring systems, electrical parameters and consumption can now be managed at equipment level, identifying potential power issues and tangible cost savings, resulting in lower billing. By using devices that can harvest more than the most basic energy readings - being located as close as possible to the critical loads - valuable preventive and corrective action can be taken that is rooted in robust real-time information

POWER CONVERSION, AVAILABILITY & CORRECTION
Our Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) protect critical installations and ensure energy availability - even in the most challenging operating environments. Socomec's range of UPS power backup equipment has been developed over the course of the last century to meet the security and continuity needs of vital facilities and infrastructure. The latest UPS backup power supply systems have reliability and efficiency engineered-in, with an optimised Total Cost of Ownership and the minimum MTTR for maximum availability. With a fast re-charge and scalability for power upgrades or redundancy, the new generation of Lithium-Ion UPS battery backup systems deliver improved operational efficiency and reliability

ENERGY STORAGE
Solutions to reduce energy costs, improve the resilience of the electricity grid or facilitate access to electricity.

Healthcare Facilities
When electrical power is vital, Socomec has the expertise to guarantee the performance of your electrical installations, without compromise
No downtime risks
Continuous care demands the most robust and resilient critical power solutions with zero-downtime – without compromise.

Operating to the most stringent international standards, the demands placed on every hard-working healthcare infrastructure are unprecedented – and interruptions to the provision of critical care are potentially catastrophic.

Empowering electric vehicle charging infrastructure through Energy Storage
The ban on sales of combustion engine vehicles in most European countries, Canada and some US states by 2035 is a first step towards decarbonising road traffic. According to an estimate by the IEA, 350 million electric vehicles will be on the road by 2030 to reach the "NET Zero Emissions" target by 2050, which will represent more than 60% of vehicles sold globally. To support this increase, it is estimated that over 60 million charging points will be installed by 2030.

Given the speed of growth and the development of fast and ultra-fast charging stations, however, the energy requirements for charging EVs are increasing faster than the energy available on the grid.
