Designed specifically for Zone 1 or Zone 2 hazardous areas worldwide including motors and electrical systems in ignition protection mode, "flameproof" enclosures: Ex de IIB/IIC T4 & Ex ndeA IIB/C T3.

  J.Barnsley explosion proof hoist units - Our electrically operated monorail hoists & winches are explosion protected for use in Zone 1 or Zone 2 hazardous areas worldwide. Standard explosion proof hoist features include motors and electrical systems in ignition protection mode, "flameproof" enclosures: Ex de IIB/IIC T4 & Ex ndeA IIB/C T3, hooks and "ferrous to ferrous" items in non-sparking materials.

  J.Barnsley goliath & semi-goliath cranes are explosion protected for use in Zone 1 or Zone 2 hazardous areas worldwide. Available in different capacities upto 100Te they are designed to run on forged wheels running on rails either at ground or a predetermined level.


• Jib Cranes
  J.Barnsley jib cranes are explosion protected for use in Zone 1 or Zone 2 hazardous areas worldwide. Standard features include motors and electrical systems in ignition protection mode, "flameproof" enclosures: Ex de IIB/IIC T4 & Ex ndeA IIB/C T3, hooks and "ferrous to ferrous" items in non-sparking materials. Operation can be by push travel, hand geared, pneumatic and electric (pushbutton or radio control).

Crane Design
J.Barnsley cranes are designed at our on-site crane design offices. We have a specialist crane Design and Engineering department utilising the latest CAD equipment. Crane Manufacturing Facilities
ALL J.Barnsley cranes are manufactured at our workshops located in the West Midlands region of the U.K. We have a specialist crane manufacturing area of 32,000 ft2 which employs the latest crane manufacturing techniques.

Crane Testing
J.Barnsley cranes are tested on our specialist crane test rig. We have recently improved our crane test facilities so that we can now carry out crane tests on overhead travelling cranes up to 100 Tonnes SWL (Proof load of 125 Tonnes).
