About Us
Urfic has been established since 1963 based in Tondela Portugal.
Then, as now, Urfic is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of decorative door furniture currently producing an average of 700,000 pieces per month.
Over these 45 years innovation has been the key to the Urfic success story who are proud to be at the forefront of technology and design.
It was in the early 70’s when our successful “modern” Georgian & Victorian designs were created, and even today our contemporary designs developed are admired and imitated by other producers throughout the world.
Quality being important too, we use the best raw material and production methods possible. This to produce tarnish resistant products with an independent salt spray test to 500hrs. The top quality appearance of products is assured with back plates using the pressed brass technique whilst still maintaining production of hot forging for levers for that “robust feel”.
Combining these production methods achieves top environmentally friendly products assuring continuity of the finished handles in years to come.
Finished with a minimum 18 microns of applied lacquer to the whole product results in great durability fully backed up by extensive guarantees.
In the UK, we are based close to the A1 in Bedfordshire. This is one of 7 distribution companies located throughout Europe.
Each of these with dedicated warehouses, marketing and technical support staff who are the “in country service” to our fast growing distributor/client portfolio.
Every company holds in-depth stock unique to that country’s needs.
This to supply our major retailers, merchants, house and commercial developers in UK, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Sweden and Portugal.
From the UK office we are able to help with your questions, arrange for supply via and/or contact with our distributor network or as a consumer advise you of your local store.
