SERVICES
Design & Installation
As an independent company we are able to install and offer a wide range of fire detection equipment. Our skilled and qualified project managers can visit your site at no expense to you and undertake a full evaluation of your exact requirements, carry out a site survey where required, produce a detailed report, and design specifications quotation with various options for you to consider. All systems and installations meet British Standard and Health and Safety regulations.
Service & Maintenance
SFS is proud of its reputation in providing services and maintenance customer care. We have built up long-term relationships with clients from a variety of backgrounds which has led to a large client base, many of whom have been receiving maintenance programs for numerous years.
Room Integrity testing
The purpose of a Room Integrity Test is to determine the predicted time that the gaseous extinguishant will be retained in an enclosure in accordance with NFPA 12 A or BS5306-3: 2003. We will prepare a sketch plan of the enclosure, showing all walls, location of all door openings, air handling equipment, ducts and any dampers. The status of any dampers in the event of gas discharge (i.e. open or closed), the door opening(s) to be used for positioning the door fan equipment and the location of the extinguishant cylinder(s) are also shown.
Dry riser test
We offer a fully operational fire engine to carry out the annual wet test of Dry Rising Mains in accordance with BS 5306 Part1: 1970. Following the annual wet test our staff will carry out the visual inspection at a six monthly interval.
Commissioning
When the installation has been completed, the commissioning test defined in BS5839 Part1:2002 is carried out. For Large installations, commissioning tests may need to be phased.
Testing is carried out with the aid of the Handover Checklist and Record of Operational Checks.
Fire risk assessment
The purpose of this is to provide an assessment of the risk to life from fire and where appropriate, make recommendations to ensure compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) order 2005. The report does not address the risk to property or business continuity from fire. The guidance provided from the results of this assessment is designed to provide the owner/responsible person/employer with the opportunity to put into place any shortcomings identified within this assessment to achieve any legal compliance. This assessment only addresses the parts of the property which were accessible during the inspection and where access was seen to be safe at the time.
