We can boast the lightning protection and steeplejack sector's most comprehensively NVQ qualified workforce in the UK, with all contracts planned and managed by NEBOSH in Construction with Diploma managers and in-house training supplied by the industry’s only NVQ Level 3 A1 assessor. Steeplejack Services
The importance of a chimney is seldom fully appreciated until it suddenly becomes non-operational. A planned survey and maintenance schedule helps reduce now well documented problems and greatly increases the likelihood of extending a chimney's design life beyond its original 20 year design period.

Churchill undertake all steel chimney inspections in strict accordance with the HSE Guidance Note GS53 and the A.T.L.A.S Inspection guide for Single Flue Industrial Steel Chimneys and Multi-flue steel chimneys to BS4076 Appendix A.

Lightning Protection
In conjunction with Churchill Specialist Contracting Ltd core business a dedicated, stand alone division exists, devoted entirely to providing a thoroughly comprehensive service in respect of Lightning Protection and Specialist Earthing Systems.

This division provides the whole range of services inclusive of, but not limited to, design, supply, installation, commissioning, test and inspection and maintenance of both lightning protection systems and specialist earthing systems.

Through volume of contracts completed Churchill’s can claim to be a world leader in the controlled demolition and dismantling of concrete, brick and steel chimneys situated in restrictive and sensitive environments including the dismantling of the first ever constructed nuclear reactor chimney at AEA Harwell in Oxfordshire.
