About Control Lighting Ltd
With over 30 years' experience in delivering specialised lighting control solutions within the lighting industry, Control Lighting is a successful, client-focused lighting controls and systems integrations company.
We are a specialist team of experienced theatrical and architectural lighting professionals, who have helped many clients over the years in realising their creative vision with the use of lighting control.
Our aim is to support a lighting project from the concept through to the final stages of commissioning of the lighting control solution, or what we like to call our 'cradle to grave' approach.
We provide clear, expert and impartial advice, and are happy to discuss your professional lighting control requirements. Please contact us with your enquiry.
Control Lighting serves a wide range of clients including many from the following sectors:
Lighting Control
There is now a significant increase in the use of colour-changing architectural lighting solutions within building interiors and exteriors. This is largely due to colour changing fixtures becoming more affordable, versatile and essentially, extremely reliable. This has led to the greater acceptance within the building industry of the advantages architectural lighting has as part of an overall scheme.
Systems Integration
Control Lighting recognises that installation projects vary considerably in complexity, size, requirement and budget. During your project's lifecycle, certain components may be installed at different stages, by separate suppliers - often each controlled by disparate and seemingly incompatible systems [as an analogy, consider the cross-compatibility problems that exist between Microsoft Windows and Apple Operating Systems].
Our Approach: Design and Consultancy
Control Lighting adopts a structured and disciplined approach to every project they undertake. Based on the individual requirements of each project, the majority of the following stages, if not all, will apply:
Consultation
Control Lighting's Project Director Ray Dolby, and his team, conducts a detailed assessment with the client to ascertain the essential requirements of the project. Once the initial consultative stage has been concluded, an outline proposal document is produced detailing specific equipment types, with corresponding performance specifications. This document will also include a schematic layout of the system and a budget summary.
Client Feedback
The outline proposal document will be presented to the client for comment and approval.
Cross Discipline Co-ordination and Initial Drawings
The revised outline proposal will then be discussed alongside other disciplines and co-ordinated to produce a non-conflicting set of drawings.
Tender Issue
The approved package will then be produced as a control system 'scope of works' document, and issued to potential contractors for tender. Control Lighting can if required assist in the appointment process of a suitable contractor.
Site Supervision
During the construction period, co-ordinated meetings are attended onsite between the design team and the specialist contractor to ensure the project is on schedule and adheres completely to the original design brief.
Commissioning
Commissioning involves an intensive test of the system's designed functionality and compatibility with all fixtures, fittings, and components. This ensures that the system meets both the original specification, and the client's approval.
Control System Programming
This involves the complete programming, configuration, and testing of the installed control lighting system.
Supply of Operation and Maintenance Manuals
As every installation is unique to the client's requirements, Control Lighting offer customised operation and maintenance manuals to keep your system running smoothly.
