Direct Lift Company ticks all three boxes, maintaining lifts for customers across Essex, East Anglia (Norfolk and Suffolk), Cambridgeshire, and down in to Kent.
Lift engineer Dave Embling started Direct Lift Company twelve years ago. Even then he had a loyal customer following that had been with him for almost a decade. Most of those clients are still with us today.
In fact, 95 per cent of Direct Lift’s new business is generated by word-of-mouth recommendation.
Health authority approved
Now, of course, the company employs many more lift engineers. Direct Lift is a health authority approved contractor with a portfolio of clients from NHS trusts and care homes, through to five-star hotels and construction giants. Our approach to customer service and the job in hand, however, remains completely unchanged.
Direct Lift offers routine servicing, maintenance and repair, as well as detailed inspection, modernisation and upgrades of lifts and patient lifting equipment. We frequently advise client organisations on the requirements of the Equality Act (formerly the Disability Discrimination Act, or DDA) as regards lift access, and work with many consultant engineers in a specialist advisory capacity.
Lift maintenance contracts
Lift maintenance contracts can be a bit of a minefield. Direct Lift Company’s service contracts are straight-forward.
We guarantee to keep costs to a minimum, and to show up when we say we will. If we don’t, we won’t charge you for labour. It’s that simple.
Our lift engineers are all fully qualified and well trained (which is not always the same thing). As a team they’ve serviced and maintained just about every type and make of passenger and goods lift in common use today, including Britannic, H&C, Kone, Otis, Stannah, Schindler and ThyssenKrupp.
