Mewscraft is a dynamic design, display and shopfitting company. Over the last 25 years we have worked nationwide transforming premises from traditional listed shops to purpose built retail and commercial spaces.
Our in-house design development, project management, shop-fitting and joinery teams work closely with you to achieve your specific requirements. Mewscraft offers many years of experience in retail display.

Display Products
These are mostly for the Optical market, to display spectacles, sunglasses and sports eyewear. However, there are also displays for hearing aid display, jewellery display, mobile phones and other high value items.
Bespoke Furniture Design and Manufacture
In addition to our display products, we are also able to produce complete bespoke furniture and display items. We design and manufacture these to suit your individual requirements. These include reception desks, dispensing desks, record card drawer units, cupboards, worktops and specialist shelving.
Interior Design and Shopfitting
Consultation
Meeting our clients face to face is very important. This is how we start to understand your requirements and how most of the crucial information is gained and options discussed. Generally, it is during this initial consultation where we try to understand the design brief, including reception and dispensing needs, number of frames to be displayed, budget, timescales and any design ideas you may have or want to incorporate.
Interior Design
Our time served professional Retail Interior Designers combined with our state of the art CAD systems offer innovative and effective designs which help to create fabulous practices. We understand that a retail environment requires both aesthetic and practical features which is where our experience is well utilised. The quality of our work is evident through the presentation of work in various forms. This includes 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional images, sample boards and unusual high quality materials.
Installation
We pre-plan everything so that each task within the refit is timed perfectly to minimise any downtime. This includes re-decoration, electrical installations, ceilings and partition walls, lighting, flooring and installations of standard and/or bespoke displays. Our fitters tend to work long and unsociable hours in order to complete projects with the minimum of disruption. This frequently includes weekends and bank holidays, early mornings and late nights.

Bespoke Furniture Design and Manufacture
In addition to our display products, we are also able to produce complete bespoke furniture and display items. We design and manufacture these to suit your individual requirements. These include reception desks, dispensing desks, record card drawer units, cupboards, worktops and specialist shelving.

- Dispensing Desks and Consulting Room Furniture - We offer different materials for the worktops, and we can also provide fold-away tops for when the desk is not in use.
- Storage Drawers and Cupboard for Spectacles and or Record Cards - We are able to design and manufacture bespoke drawers and cupboards specifically for you. We will choose finishes to suit your overall design or to match other furniture. Mewscraft designers are experienced in this field, and are able to balance aesthetics with practicality and cost.
- Shelving Units - With a huge range of available materials from glass, acrylic laminate boards or real wood veneer, shelving units can easily be made to fit into your existing style.
