Liscannor Flagstone Quarries

Based in Rockmount, Miltown Malbay our family run Flagstone Quarries have been supplying Liscannor Stone on the west coast of County Clare for decades.

In that time our product line has grown and Liscannor Flagstone now has a diverse range of uses. This includes Building Stone which is ideal for facing houses, garden walls or creating a stone entrance. Our Sawn Flagstone is used for patios and garden walkways or internally as flooring to give a traditional look. Liscannor Flagstone is also used for Wall Capping, Pier Caps, Fire Hearths, Window Cills, Lintels and Door Steps.

Over the years we have been involved with a wide range of projects including commercial, residential and conservation works. From the initial consultation phase of the project to completion we are available to provide you with advice and stone to meet your requirements.

Building Stone
Liscannor Flagstone is ideal for facing buildings, boundary and garden walls. Our building stone can be purchased in two ways. It can come with a guillotined finish in bags or in bulk by the lorry load. We quarry our own supply of Building Stone which has been used in the construction of Commercial Buildings, Private Houses & Entrances throughout the country.


Piers & Wall Capping
Piers and Wall Capping can be used to great effect to enhance the appearance of an entrance to a building. We supply and deliver a superbly crafted finish. Our Flagstone Wall Capping can be cut to your specification whatever the width of the wall.


Stone Paving/Flooring
Natural Flagstone Paving gives an elegant and long lasting finish to paths and garden walkways. Flagstone is very traditional looking and is instantly recognisable by the fossils which run throughout the stone. It is blue/grey in colour and can be ordered in a number of sizes, sawn random sizes, standard widths or irregular sizes.

Our Sawn Flagstone is ideal for patios and garden walkways or internally as flooring to give a traditional look.


Window Sills/Lintels & Steps
We supply Window cills, Lintels, Chimney Caps, Plinths, Steps & Arches. All orders are cut to specification. We combine traditional skills with modern technology to give a superbly crafted finish.


Firehearths & Fireplaces
At our Workshop we create natural stone Fireplaces and fire surrounds from Flagstone. Using your dimensions we can cut and design the Fireplace to suit your home.

Our Firehearths and Mantles have proven very popular, especially as bases for stoves which we supply nationwide.
