With a manufacturing heritage stretching back over 35 years, Carbery Plastics is today synonymous with the development, manufacture and distribution of rotationally moulded storage products to customers across Europe.
Today, Carbery remains a forward looking business, operating from modern production facilities on the outskirts of Clonakilty, Ireland. Each year Carbery manufactures thousands of products for supply to a discerning customer base across Ireland, the UK and EU, all of whom demand consistently high levels of product quality, reliability and service.

Experience. Carbery manufactured its first product in 1977 and almost 40 years later is still led by the same management team. As a business, Carbery has unrivaled experience within the rotational moulding industry, manufacturing products which range in scale from children’s toys to safety critical, outsize products for use in the energy and environmental sectors.
Integrity. As an independent supplier, we value integrity. We believe in being approachable to our suppliers, employees and customers. And we believe in treating everyone fairly and with respect. For over 35 years, we have sought to be a responsible corporate citizen and have continuously proven that as a business we keep our promises and honour our commitments.
Sustainability. Carbery is one of only a small number of plastic product suppliers in Ireland and the UK, with the capability to not only manufacture new products, but recover end of life products too. We believe in being responsible, in minimising our impact upon the environment, reducing waste and taking responsibility for the products we supply.
Quality. At Carbery, we don’t believe in taking short cuts or cutting corners. That’s why we voluntarily submit our range of fuel tanks for testing in accordance with OFTEC’s demanding OFS T100 standard. It’s why Carbery was among the first tank manufacturers to have its tanks assessed in accordance with European Standard EN13341. And it’s why we continue to invest in our manufacturing, product development and design processes too.
Responsiveness. We believe in working with our customers to develop robust, world class solutions to their problems, underpinned by best in class product support and customer service. Carbery has a proven track record in working in partnership with customers in Ireland, the UK, continental EU and North America, to deliver the right product, to the right specification, at the right time and to the right place.

Carbery Partners with XL Tank to Grow Scandinavian Presence
Storage Tank and Re-Fuelling Systems manufacturer specialist Carbery Plastics has confirmed the appointment of XL Tank as its fuel tank distributor for Norway from April 2016.
Plastic heating and fuel oil tank and re-fuelling systems specialist Carbery Plastics has confirmed the appointment of XL Tanks, as the company’s fuel tank distributor for Norway.
Carbery’s Cal McCarthy says, “The appointment of XL Tank as our fuel tank distributor is the latest in the line of European partnership deals completed between Carbery and large distributors, as our family business develops its market base across Europe. This ensures Carbery oil tank customers in Norway will receive renowned high quality Carbery product, with the added benefit of local, on-the-ground customer service, distribution and product support from XL Tank”.
XL Container supplies products both for sale and rental for a number of industries such as construction, offshore, retail, industrial and public sector.
XL Container Directors Dick Tjørswaag Vaule and Øystein Thoresen say, “We are delighted to partner with Carbery, whose high quality plastic ranges have great synergy with our existing portfolio. We look forward to working with new Carbery customers with in Norway and growing the large Carbery product range available across Scandinavia”.

“Growing our markets to other European countries has allowed us survive the difficult economic times in Ireland, strengthening the business and will create significant further employment in the next few years in West Cork where the business has been based since its foundation in 1977”.
