Greenstar boilers
Recommended by the Energy Savings Trust as being among the most energy efficient boilers available in the UK, Worcester’s award-winning portfolio of Greenstar boilers are all A-rated on the SEDBUK scale, which means they convert over 90% of the energy used into heating and hot water.
Greenskies
Worcester’s Greenskies solar thermal panels are capable of providing between 50% and 70% of a home’s hot water requirements for free and have been designed as the perfect partner to its range of high-efficiency SEDBUK A-rated condensing regular and system boilers. Panels are available in both landscape and portrait designs, with on-roof and in-roof styles and a variety of fixing methods to suit virtually every domestic roof.
In addition, Worcester has also introduced a range of Indirect Unvented Twin Coil Cylinders. These are available in four sizes – 180, 210, 250 and 300 litres – and are specifically for installation with Worcester’s Greenskies solar series. These cylinders are WRAS approved for compliance with Building Regulations G3 and Part L.
Award-winning, Worcester’s Greenskies solar series has been awarded ‘Green Product of the Year’ at the 2008 Corgi Awards and ‘Green Product of the Year’ at the 2008 OFTEC Awards for Excellence.
Greenstore
By harnessing energy stored in the ground, Worcester’s Greenstore ground source heat pumps (GSHPs) can provide heat with a lower running cost than traditional heating systems. Energy can be obtained from the ground using horizontal, compact and vertical collectors. There are eight Greenstore models in the series with outputs from 6kW to 11kW, four of which are combination units that do not require a separate cylinder.
Greensource
Greensource air source heat pumps are the latest addition to Worcester’s renewable portfolio. Both air-to-water and air-to-air systems have been developed to offer heating solutions for domestic properties. Designed to work with existing wet central heating systems, air-to-water heat pumps transfer the converted heat into water to deliver low-cost, energy saving heating and hot water all year round. A choice of three units is available – 6kW, 7kW and 9.5kW and to complete the package, Worcester has also introduced a Greensource hot water distribution unit for indoors, with compact dimensions and a storage capacity of 151 litres. The Greensource air-to-air heat pumps are perfect for space heating and can also operate as an air cooler and purifier using Plasmacluster Ion-technology, which is built into the appliance.
Training
With five dedicated training courses, a fleet of mobile training vehicles which travel the country and a number of distance learning packages, Worcester’s training courses are accessible to all. With the latest accredited boiler and renewable product courses and a series of other practical sessions including IT skills, regulatory and health and safety courses available, Worcester offers the most comprehensive list of training courses for installers, merchants and specifiers.
