4D Garden Design & Constuction is a family run company based in Horwich near Bolton.

Ian Murray designs and builds gardens with over 16 years experience.

In 2004 Ian was awarded the top UK award for Landscape and Garden Design from BALI (British Assocciation of Landscape Industries)


At 4D Garden Design we provide private clients in the North West and the rest of the UK with a full garden design, construction and planting service.

Ian and his team build the gardens themselves along with selected recommended tradesmen.

We take a cooperative approach, developing the design concept together with our clients, tailoring the service according to their taste, needs and budget.

We also take on large scale briefs and develop master plans for anything from small urban gardens to large rural landscaping projects.


All plants are sourced from specialist nurseries which can provide strong, healthy plants.

Lighting is also a speciality. We can provide a full lighting plan ourselves or work with specialist lighting designers for clients who have specific requirements.
