About Jeff Ayres and Associates
WELCOME TO THE JEFF AYRES & ASSOCIATES WEBSITE
We are a successful Business Management Consultancy that provides experienced practitioners, facilitators, trouble-shooters, designers and implementers for Business Management Systems such as (ISO 9001) Quality Management Standard, (ISO 14001) Environmental Management Standard, (ISO 45001) Health & Safety Standard and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Scheme (PEFC) Chain-of-Custody Certification.
We are working with a number of organisations to develop Integrated Management Systems that incorporate all three of the above standards into a streamlined and cost-effective approach to business.
Business Measurement
The overall objective and main focus for any organisation is to increase profitability by continuously improving customer satisfaction and driving down operational costs. To achieve this, organisations must be able to take a step back from the day-to-day operations of their business and understand their current position, where they want to be and develop a plan of how to get there. To ensure the success of this important activity, a structured approach must be deployed to assess the business, clearly identify business measures and targets and plan the appropriate actions to achieve the desired results.
Quality Management
A quality management system provides organisations with a structured method of recording 'best practice' and a planned means of achieving continual improvements through the setting of objectives and targets. The revised ISO 9001 Standard is less demanding than its previous version regarding the level of paperwork, procedures and detail considered essential for an effective management system. Indeed, it looks much more closely at achievements, improvements, levels of customer satisfaction, rather than looking for strict conformity to precise procedures and work instructions.
Environmental Management
Working to an effective environmental management system often enables organisations to make savings in cutting down on running costs. By working in an environmentally responsible and aware manner, companies will examine ways of making significant savings using recycling, reuse, and better selection of resources. The company will have a greater awareness of the significant impacts that their type of work has on the environment, and will be enabled to plan to improve their environmental performance.
Forest Stewardship Council
Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain-of-Custody is an Internationally recognised system of forest certification and product labelling that aids consumers to identify wood and wood-based products from well-managed forests. It is recognised throughout the world, with over 4,021 certified organisations across 72 countries, and supported by WWF, Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth and Woodland Trust.
Integrated Management Systems
An ever growing number of organisations have elected to introduce fully integrated systems, meeting the requirements of the Quality Management Standard (ISO 9001), plus the Environmental Management Standard (ISO 14001) and also the Health & Safety Standard (ISO 45001). The advantages of this approach are one management system, with overlapping processes, one set of documents and one third-party audit, resulting in more control, less effort and reduced costs.
Shared Specialist Scheme
The Shared Specialist Scheme allows companies to enjoy the benefits of an independent expert dedicated in supporting and progressing particular projects or initiatives, without the conflict from other responsibilities within the company and without the cost of employing a full-time person. This has been a popular cost-effective solution used by many small and medium-size organisations to gain both the technical and professional advantages of larger organisations whilst keeping costs down.
