Grab It All

We booked online with grab it all, and specified we had some mixed materials of the garden waste variety for collection and were quoted £290 for collection and given a lose collection time of late morning. We waited in all morning and eventually the collection came at bang on midday. On arrival we were then told it was going to cost £350 not the original quoted £290 as it was mainly turf. I do not understand logically why turf alone would cost more than mixed materials. Once the turf was loaded and it came to payment we were then told it was going to cost us £420 since we were paying by card, had we been told cash was preferable whilst the load was being collected we could have went and taken the cash out. Overall Im very disappointed, the communication wasnt of a satisfactory standard 1) because the time frame for collection was lusive not specified causing us to wait in (the company had our contact details and could have given a more specific time frame or contacted us to keep us up to date) and 2) because it should have been explained about payment method prior to collection, instead my husband was put on the spot. Furthermore, a quote should not be given and then changed immediately once the service arrives, once again, putting the customer on the spot.
