Case Study
Clapham One regeneration Scheme
Leading social housing contractor and developer United House secured a £29 million contract to build a new community library, primary care medical centre and 136 homes in Clapham High Street as part of the Clapham One regeneration scheme, with joint developers Cathedral Group.

The £80 million landmark PPP (Public Private Partnership) Project for the London Borough of Lambeth encompasses two sites in Clapham. The library, medical centre and 136 private apartments will be situated on the site of Mary Seacole House, a former social services office on Clapham High Street. The nearby Clapham Manor Street site will be home to a new leisure centre and 63 homes, 44 of which will be social.

Working directly for United House, specialist contractor Cemplas Waterproofing and Concrete Repairs Ltd were tasked with the installation of installing Oldroyd cavity drainage system to the walls and floors to the basement of the former social services office (Mary Seacole House).

The works comprised of applying Oldroyd XV Clear semi-transparent, studded cavity drainage membrane, and Vandex BB75E elasticised waterproofing slurry.

Working to detailed drawings, Cemplas operatives applied the Oldroyd XV 20 Clear membrane to the walls and floors by means of special sealed fixing plugs, and all joints were overlapped and sealed with Oldroyd Over seal Tape.
