Land surveyors, Topographical Surveys, Boundary Surveys. Chris Partington Land Surveyors have been established since 1989. Based in South Manchester we operate nationwide providing an accurate and reliable service for our clientele.

We use the latest state of the art equipent for our land surveys from the top equipment manufacturers including the Leica TS 15.

Topographical Surveys
Although we are based in South Manchester, Cheshire, Chris Partington Land Surveyors operate throughout the UK providing the highest standard in Topographical Surveys, also known as Land Surveys. We can provide for the biggest to the smallest jobs and we give our utmost attention to detail regardless of the project at hand.

We undertake detailed surveys nationwide using the latest Leica, Total Station & GPS Survey equipment. From large industrial estates to small gardens for private individuals. Surveys are undertaken to specific requirements and are issued in either 2D or 3D formats. We offer a number of services once the site survey is completed such as post demolition surveys, coordinate calculations and setting out of piling, steelwork or building foundations.

Measured Building Surveys
Following a measured building survey request we initially assess the building structure in order to find the quickest and most accurate method to provide you with a cost effective solution. We have a wealth of experience of measured building surveys on varying projects from houses to schools, hospitals, retail stores, churches and heritage sites. We can provide you with remote surveying techniques for sensitive or inaccessible detail, by using laser scanning and reflectorless total stations.

Other Services

As-Built Surveys
a survey that documents the location of recently constructed elements of a construction project. Asbuilt surveys are done for record, completion evaluation and payment purposes. An as-built survey is also known as a 'works as executed survey'. As built surveys are often presented in red or redline and laid over existing plans for comparison with design information.

Monitoring Services - Precise Level Deformation Surveys

A Deformation survey is carried out to determine if a structure or object is changing shape or moving. First the positions of points on an object are found. A period of time is allowed to pass and the positions are then re-measured and calculated. Then a comparison between the two sets of positions is made.

Setting Out
Stakeout, Layout or Setout: an element of many other surveys where the calculated or proposed position of an object is marked on the ground. This can be temporary or permanent. This is an important component of engineering and cadastral surveying.

Levelling
When levelling we either find the elevation of a given point or establish a point at a given elevation.
