About Sovereign Alarms Ltd
SOVEREIGN ALARMS was formed in January 1989 as a partnership between Phil Pritchett and Mike Chadwick. SOVEREIGN ALARMS LIMITED was also formed during 1989 with the partners Phil and Mike each holding 50% of the shares for the limited company.
SOVEREIGN ALARMS LIMITED started to trade during 1989 to support major projects requiring the supply and installation of fire alarm systems, supply only and commissioning of fire alarm systems and for trade sales of fire alarm equipment. During 2003 SOVEREIGN ALARMS LIMITED took over the commitments of Sovereign Alarms.
The company Directors are M. Chadwick, P. Pritchett and C. Chadwick as Commercial Director responsible for the daily operations.
During 1990 the company expanded into Security Systems Market place in the various disciplines of Intruder Alarm System’s, Closed Circuit Television System’s, and Access Control System’s
From the formation of the company SOVEREIGN ALARMS LIMITED have been involved with the commercial and industrial aspect of Fire and Security Alarm System Engineering including working with Health Authorities, Local Authorities, Private Health Care and Public Sector.
The company also provides planned maintenance contracts, which as an example will allow for our service engineers to attend the customers premises as required, within the various British Standards relevant for the appropriate systems and a 24 hour emergency call facility is maintained, including all public holidays for customers who have taken out our maintenance and service contract for their systems.

The capability to carry out the design of fire detection and alarm systems and the application of equipment to meet the requirements for fire alarms in the protection of life and property, also plays a part of our operation especially with the growth of the Design and Build Market.
We are also proud to confirm that our operation includes an association with 'NOTIFIER' as an E.S.D. (Engineered System Distributor). This association allows us to provide fire alarm equipment and systems as a local independent company with the technical backing and support of a major international company, whose European and U.K. Head Office together with their manufacturing base is located at Burgess Hill, West Sussex.
This association also gives us access for on going engineering training with 'Notifier' which as an E.S.D. is part of our commitment, this we believe gives the fire alarm industry professional quality systems and fully qualified engineers in all aspects of Fire Detection and Alarm Systems, from the drawing board to the operational requirements of the end user.
Staff loyalty has always been important to our company and should not go unmentioned with many of our staff being part of the company in excess of ten years.
Colin Chadwick joined us during the first year of trading and served his apprenticeship learning the trade and is now our Managing Director and totally responsible for the day to day running of the company.
We at SOVEREIGN ALARMS LIMITED also believe in providing fully trained engineers to maintain the expected standards of the industry, our training program allows for engineers to receive on going training in contemporary standards and engineering practices.
SOVEREIGN ALARMS LIMITED in line with future requirements of the industry, are currently working towards the BAFFE scheme SP203, which certifies the Design, Installation, Commissioning and Servicing of Fire Alarms System. This certification will be obtained through the SSAIB (Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board whom we are already members of through our security operation, who in turn are monitored by UKAS).
The company is registered with the following trade organisation:-
