VolkerSteel Foundations is a specialist in the design, supply and installation of all forms of steel sheet and bearing piles.

Our in house team make the company what it is today. All experienced construction professionals, we are passionate about our work and our company and pride ourselves on finding tailored solutions for complex projects.


Our aim is to achieve best practice in all works that we undertake, completing them to the highest quality, within time and budget constraints.

We will undertake projects ranging in value from £20,000 to large scale multi-million pound contracts.

As a part of the VolkerWessels group, which has a turnover in excess of €5.4 billion we are financially secure and can draw on specialist design and installation expertise that is available within the group.

From our base in the north east of England we are ideally located to serve all sectors of the UK construction market. We have undertaken projects as far afield as Guernsey, Belfast and the Scottish Islands.

Our working methods can be tailored to suit the local environment, whether it is working over water or constructing a basement in a city centre.

We have a great deal of experience working to strict environmental controls depending on the environment we are working within.

VolkerSteel Foundations specialise in the installation of steel piling.

We are able to offer a complete service from conceptual design through to supply and installation.

We can also tailor make a solution to suit our clients needs which may include any of the following:

• Concept design including costing
• Detailed design
• Construction advice
• Pile supply and buy back
• Pile installation
• Fabrication of associated temporary works
• Labour and plant hire

We operate with resonance free hammers which result in significantly lower ground-borne vibration than conventional techniques.

We can also undertake 'silent' and 'vibrationless' piling if required by a particular situation. Alternatively we are experienced in the use of conventional crane installation techniques where there is no access to the pile location.
