About DRJ Electrical
DRJ Electrical Ltd. is an electrical contractor based in Blackpool providing a first class service to customers within the Lancashire area.
DRJ Electrical Ltd. has many years experience and our well qualified team works to the highest standards. We have a professional approach, complying with the various electrical regulations to ensure that the work we do is completed efficiently, and to the satisfaction of our customers.
We provide clear and detailed no obligation quotations and our initial consultation is always provided free of charge.
Rewires
All rewires will comply with the BS7671 regulations and include new cabling and fittings, new consumer unit including MCBs and RCD. All relevant bonding to BS7671 regulations. Full IEE certificate on completion.
Inspection & Testing to BS7671
We provide inspection and testing of fixed electrical installations and equipment (up to and including three phase 415V ac circuits), in domestic, commercial and industrial environments, in accordance with BS 7671 2008 (Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE) Wiring Regulations - 17th Edition).
Periodic Inspection
All electrical installations should be inspected and tested on a regular basis. The time interval between inspections is dependent on the type of installation, e.g. domestic installations may be a maximum of 10 years whilst a construction site may require inspection at 3 monthly intervals. The periodic inspection and test includes a thorough visual inspection looking at all aspects of the electrical installation, together with extensive testing. We can inspect and test your installation and issue you with a 'Periodic Inspection Report' which, together with a 'Schedule of Inspections' and a 'Schedule of Tests'', will confirm that the installation is safe and 'fit for purpose', and will also identify any areas that require remedial work to satisfy the IEE regulations.
Routine Inspection
Regular inspections also need to be performed on electrical installations between Periodic Inspections, usually on an annual basis, as damage and deterioration can occur. To meet this requirement we offer a less comprehensive inspection which is limited to a visual inspection and some functional testing. This is particularly suited for rental properties where there may be an annual change of tenant.
Visual Inspection
This is a low cost option particularly suited to potential home buyers. A visual inspection of the electrical installation is carried out to determine the age of the wiring and accessories, it's general condition and compliance with current standards. If the installation is found to be generally satisfactory, a full inspection including testing of circuits can be carried out if requested by the client.
Remedial Work
Should any problems be found, these can be costed and rectified with no additional charge for a re-test.
