About Fantech Ventilation

Fantech Ventilation manufacture and supply ventilation products throughout Ireland. Our experienced sales team work closely with consulting engineers and contractors to meet their air movement requirements with quality products.

Fantech Ventilation is part of the €85million Elta group, a family of air movement manufacturing businesses with operations in six countries on four continents which, together with a network of international distributors, provides quality fans, air handling units, carpark ventilation systems and related air movement equipment to customers worldwide.

In order to offer our complete ventilation product range, Fantech also supply products which are outside our own manufacturing operations such as grilles, diffusers, ducting (flexible and spiral), fire and volume control dampers and duct fittings and accessories. This is done by supplying products from a number of carefully chosen leading global manufacturers, whom we work closely with to provide quality products at competitive prices. Our range includes the revolutionary new ErP compliant range of Raptor plate and cased fans with the renown Ziehl-Abegg FE2 owlet impeller and motor.

Fantech ventilation along with the expertise offered throughout the group, can truly offer 'knowledge in ventilation' and are active members of the IVIA and are Engineers Ireland CPD registered training providers. Please get in touch for more information on our Smoke and Car Park Ventilation and ErP Legislation CPD seminars.

Title:
NEW ‘SELECT’ PRODUCT GUIDE NOW AVAILABLE FROM FANTECH
Date:
1/07/13
A
new
Product Guide for 2013
is available from Fantech Ventilation
containing
a comprehensive range of
ventilation
products, many of which
are compliant with the new ErP
(Ene
rgy related Products) D
irective
, the
first tier
of which came into
force on 1 January, 2013.
Fantech are part of the international Elta Group and the Product Guide has been timed to coincide with Elta’s
first phase of compliant products introduced to
the market following the launch of a number of new products in
early 2012 in preparation for the new legislation. The 530 page Product Guide provides comprehensive
details of the fans now covered in the Elta Select range, from axial flow, centrifugal and
mixed flow fans to
destratification, heat recovery units and many more. The introduction of the axial fans in this phase is
particularly important given the significant impact the ErP Directive is having for these products.
Managing
Director
of Fantech, B
rendan O’Toole, recognises that the catalogue has a role to play beyond just
outlining what fans are available to meet the new legislation
– “with any new legislation there is inevitably
some confusion surrounding what the new requirements are. We have therefore been very conscious to make
the catalogue informative, with a number of features that will help people to understand the key issues and
how to specify fans accordingly.”
These features include a section devoted to the
explanation of new fan labell
ing requirements,
terminologies and efficiencies: the latter being
particularly important in light of the new legislation. Fan
Motor Efficiency Grade (FMEG), along with Specific Fan
Power (SFP), are two criteria on which fans are now
selected, allowing the
correct fan to be identified for a
given application. To further assist in this process, the
catalogue includes a guide on how to select a fan
utilising performance curves, guidance on common
installation categories as well as icons applied to the
produc
ts to enable easy identification of the applications
for which they are designed.
