About Oak A Framing
Oak A Framing is a traditional timber framing company based in the heart of Dorset.
We manufacture and construct all ranges of timber buildings such as houses, double garages, extensions, and porches using traditional methods of mortise and tenon joints secured with pegs that have been in use for centuries.
Our company has over 10 years experience in traditional carpentry and we have all the knowledge and equipment to take on projects of any proportion.
We take great pride in working with such a durable, attractive and environmentally friendly choice of material. All of our timber is sourced locally as and when we can through surrounding sawmills, and we pledge to plant a new tree for each one used in the building process so the carbon footprint of your project is kept to a minimum.

A Complete Service
At Oak A Framing we have a full team of experienced tradesmen that work alongside our team of carpenters to provide a full service for all our Buildings from the ground works to the roof covering.
On quoting for your project we can provide a price for the full package or we can just manufacture the frame only. We will also be happy to work alongside any of your own tradesmen if required.

Design
Timber framed buildings are found all over the world, with structures built over a thousand years ago still standing today. The Oak we use to build our frames is sourced locally, as and when we can, from well managed woodlands, keeping transportation emissions to a minimum and ensuring that the carbon footprint of your project is something to be proud of.
