We Make Composite Doors Really Accessible!
In April 2008 Door-Stop started by offering a composite door solution in a completely different way. They would be easy to buy, they would be quick to get hold of, they were not going to be complicated and were going to be made really easy to sell. All of which they had never been before.
Today 90% of Door-Stop’s orders are placed using our 1 minute, 5 step online ordering system. We deliver doors nationwide in just 3 days. And we give our customers loads of tools to help sell more. This obsession with simplicity has led to Door-Stop being the most popular choice of ready to fit composite door.
Ten door colours
The door can be as individual as you like. Three new door colours: Grey, Cream and Chartwell Green, have added to our existing seven (White, Black, Blue, Red, Green, Oak and Darkwood).
We also offer colour all round options, and 9 frame colours white, mahogany, cherrywood, oak, white grain, brown–black, along with the new grey, cream and chartwell green frame colours to compliment the new door colours. All of which can be configured with gold, chrome, black hardware - it's easy to see how there are over 900 billion types of Door-Stop door.
We extrude the PVC door sections
Door-Stop operate 2 PVC extrusion lines. These extrusion lines are dedicated to extruding the PVCu profiles for composite doors. These components are critical to every aspect of the finished door; this is why we don’t compromise by working to another profile suppliers tolerances, quality control measures, and even supply schedules.
We injection mould the glazing cassettes
This is the bit that holds the glass in the door. It’s a really important bit! We designed our glazing system so that it can be deglazed, non-handed, and completely through colour. It’s so clever its patented, and only available on Door-Stop doors. All of these cassettes are made from our own tools and 600 tonne injection moulding press.
We have an automated door slab production line
Our Biele composite door slab production line is the only one of its kind in the UK. Having the ability to make door slabs helps to protect Door-Stop customers from wild price changes resulting from exchange rate shifts.
We do everything from one site in Nottingham
The entire Door-Stop operation is just 2 miles from the M1 in North Nottinghamshire. Our 117,000ft site is head office, extrusion, injection moulding, warehouse, assembly and logistical home for everything we do.
