Eltel-UK (Civils Ltd)

Eltel-UK limited, formed in 2009 by brothers Michael and Adam Ritchie, We are currently working with Telent, contracted for BT/Openreach. Covering the North East of England. We have recently extended our “footprint” into South Yorkshire, making us one of the largest independent Civils sub-contractors working on the Openreach contract for Carillion Telent, in the UK.

We are currently working on Telecom civils contracts for our major clients, telent, Openreach, Kelly Group, and working on various road widening schemes throughout the North East along with some well known construction companies, we are also involved in some high profile networks for the MOD.

Small singular excavations, large excavations, joint chamber construction, duct laying, manhole design and construction, directional drilling, thrust boring and reinstatement are all part of the service we provide, as well as planning and local authority negotiations. Our partner Helis Group Ltd, offer a bespoke traffic management solution throughout our current footprint.

We recently opened a new depot in Wombwell, Barnsley. Telent have extended their contract terms for a further 3 years and It has been announced that Telent jv our main client, is continuing to work on the Nynet phase 2 programme, providing broadband to remote villages throughout the North Yorkshire area, providing us with additional work volumes over the next couple of years.

Quality: Eltel-UK will supply a quality service to the utility industry, we source all of our materials from suppliers locally, we aim to deliver the highest quality of service to our clients and demonstrate consistently high class of standards of professionalism. Our service / product will be delivered in accordance with all requirements of our clients.

Environment: Eltel-UK are very conscientious about their impact on the environment, and as such have put in place a target of reducing waste to landfill by 90% by 2018. We have recently renewed our plant and machinery to more energy efficient models, and monitor our fuel consumption to maintain a steady reduction.

Health and Safety: Eltel-UK take the health and safety of its staff and suppliers very seriously, with this in mind we will aim to become OHSAS 18001 certified by the end of 2017, this will further enhance our profile whilst benefiting all involved making sure they are safe whilst at work. We use “dont walk by” to record and monitor incidents and near misses, this identifies trends and helps us to improve overall.

Training: Eltel-UK can now offer training, We are working closely with training suppliers and colleges and have offered apprenticeship’s through Stockton Riverside College, this has had a massive impact on our performance as a company, whilst benefiting from an additional lower cost work force we are also providing excellent opportunities for individuals willing to learn our industry.
