Mech-Mate - The Inspection Pit People Since 1993

Mech-Mate Limited has been producing Mech-Mate Motorpits, Mech-Mate Pitliners and Mech-Mate Pitsealer systems since 1993, along with, more recently, the new and innovative Mech-Mate Motor Flooring system.

Mech-Mate also supply related accessories, such as a Sliding Jacking Platform and a Heavy Duty PVC Anti-Slip Protective Floor Mat, which is resistant to automotive fluids.

Mech-Mate Motorpits and Mech-Mate Pitliners are designed for DIY or builder installation in to new or existing garages. Normally allow just 2 to 3 days (depending on the chosen model), for 2 people. Naturally, we provide full installation instructions, which are also available prior to purchase, via this website.

Motor Pits from Mech-Mate
Mech-Mate Motor Pits are available as 2 types. Motorpit 1 and Motorpit 2

• Motorpit 1
  The original seated Motorpit 1 system is now available in 2 metre, 2.4 metre, 3 metre and 3.5 metre lengths - A model range to cover most requirements, be they simple / occasional service activity, to serious repair / restoration, even total rebuilds, concours or competition preparation - Motorpit 1 does the job.


• Motorpit 2
  Our "stand in" full depth Motorpit 2 system is manufactured on special moulding tools, which allow model depths from 1.75 to 1.9 metres to be produced, with lengths from 2.4 metres to 4.5 metres. The operator's height / reach and vehicle ground clearance are easily thus catered for.

Mech-Mate Pitliner
The Mech-Mate Pitliners are available in a wide range of sizes to suit not only the size of your brick pit, but also the depth of water or damp ingress, i.e if your pit has just a few inches of water in the bottom (in its worst condition) you do not necessarily need a "full depth" Pitliner, up to the garage floor. A Pitliner can be supplied to line your pit to an appropriate level above the water / damp ingress.

Mech-Mate Motorpit Sealant
A damp or wet garage pit generates humidity, which is not only "the food" of rust and rot, but also a wonderful example of nature's refrigeration principles at work.

In partnership with a leading chemical company Mech-Mate has developed our Pitsealer kit of materials, which enable a wet or damp or even water filled brick pit to be completely sealed, with brush or roller applied very special two-pack epoxy materials.
