About London`s Pure Basements
London’s Pure Basements are an innovative company that specialise in the creation and production of new basements and of course the extensions of existing ones. Our team of professional specialists has a wealth of experience, combining that with use of leading waterproofing systems we have earned a reputation of being a company which achieves outstanding results.
Services
London’s Pure Basements provide the complete basement construction and conversion service from start to finish. We understand your vision and take you through the entire planning and design process, through to excavation and construction of the shell, plus waterproofing, damp control and completion. We believe in providing a personal service and working with the client face-to-face in order to understand and deliver your vision.
Waterproofing
Cavity drain membranes provide an alternative to conventional cementitious tanking systems, which work by holding the water back. Cavity drain membranes work on the principle of allowing water to continue to penetrate the structure but control it in the air gap and divert it to a suitable drainage point. They do not allow pressure to build up against the internal construction and the air gap behind the membrane allows the structure to breathe and to some extent to dry out.
Free Consultation
We will arrange an appointment with you for one of our experienced design surveyors to meet at the project site. The purpose of this initial meeting we will be to carry out a brief survey of the site, discuss the cellar conversion or basement construction project and make appropriate recommendations.
Planning Application
A Building Permit is required for basement construction, cellar conversion or alteration, unless the changes are strictly cosmetic. With all building work, the owner of the property (or land) in question is ultimately responsible for complying with the relevant planning rules and building regulations (regardless of the need to apply for planning permission and/or building regulations approval or not).
Design
Following the approval of your planning application, if your project involves significant structural works, a structural design and calculation may have to be done by an engineer.
Project Management
Construction of the project will be of the highest quality. All works carried out by London’s Pure Basements will be subject to approval by the Local Authority Building Control Department.
