About A L W Group (UK) Ltd
ALW was established in 1984, at that time the majority of our work was done for the local electricity boards. We soon established ourselves in the market place to provide electricity boards throughout the UK with various products and services. We even supply the USA.
The company ALW is based in Telford, with industrial units covering some 20,000 square feet. We have complete in-house & on site refurbishing facilities, including full machining equipment, fabrication facilities and paint finishing.
We are an ISO 9001 accredited company.
The company has been operating for nearly 27 years, originally supplying our local electricity board, we soon found our products and services were in demand throughout the UK.

Services
Bushing Refurbishment & Testing
We refurbish both ground mounted and pole mounted transformer Bushings from 415v to and including 132kv. We have full testing facilities in-house and our fully skilled on site teams of fitters can offer you a full repair and re-fitting service.
Fabrication Shop
We have full fabrication facilities, including TIG, MIG and Arc welding. We specialise in the manufacture of cable boxes/ extensions and replacement transformer tanks.
Machine Shop
We have in-house turning, milling, bending and rolling equipment.
Transformer Repair & Refurbishment
We can repair, refurbish and test both ground mounted and pole mounted transformers, as well as the Bushings.
Gasket Supply
We stock a full range of gasket materials and gasket tooling for the electrical industry - in most cases all items are from stock.
Consultancy
We have a team of skilled and experienced engineers who can come out to site and give detailed advice on most transformer Bushing related problems.
Distribution Panels
ALW make bespoke distribution panels to customer requirements up to 54 way.
