Previous Projects
Sunnyside Refurbishment, Carbis Bay, St. Ives - October 2012 This project was a major refurbishment on an existing, early 1900s bungalow in Carbis Bay, St. Ives, incorporating a new roof and side extension, external insulation and re-rendering of the external walls and major landscaping works. The concept of the project was to retain the scale and overall language of the original dwelling, but update it with a more contemporary character; through new crisp white render, powder coated aluminium windows, galvanised steel rainwater goods and a new roof. |
New End of Terrace Dwelling, St. Ives - October 2010 Having purchased the adjacent end-of-terrace house with Outline Planning Permission to add another dwelling to the terrace, our client appointed CASA Studio to gain Full / Detailed Planning Permission and Building Regulations for a two or three bedroom dwelling within the Outline Planning Approved footprint. We were able to design a family dwelling with open-plan kitchen diner and living space with adjacent decked porch at Ground Level; 2 double bedrooms, 1 single bedroom and family bathroom at First Floor Level; all within a tight footprint. |
Carthew Vean Loft Conversion / Refurb, St. Ives - 2012 This project was a major refurbishment on an existing bungalow overlooking the stunning Porthmeor Beach in St. Ives, incorporating a loft conversion with new dormers and a new front gable roof extension, a new roof terrace and major internal alterations to the existing Ground Floor layout. The concept of the project was to increase the accommodation of the existing dwelling without increasing the large existing footprint, while creating a contemporary seaside aesthetic, with the vibrant vanilla clad and painted walls as chosen by the client. Internally the rooms were treated to a high spec finish, exemplified by the sculptural timber staircase in the well-lit double-height entrance hall. |
