External Insulation - The Process
K&M's external wall insulation system involves a layered method that encases the property, preventing any heat from escaping unnecessarily.

The walls of the building are first wrapped in the highest quality phenolic foam boards, which are affixed with a heavy bonding adhesive (or mechanically, depending on the surface). We use phenolic boards as they have the highest thermal insulation and fire rating. They offer a 40% gain over Mineral and EPS insulated render boards and are suited to all types of insulated render and brick/stone slips.

A final decorative finish is then applied to achieve the finished aesthetic appearance. These can vary from a colourful textured render to a brick/stone slip for the more traditional or natural look. This render is also weatherproof and requires no maintenance or decorating for at least 20 years.

Brick and Stone Pointing
K&M's Pointing service can rejuvenate the old, tired stone or brickwork on your building while protecting it against the elements.

We offer a bespoke service for domestic and residential housing, as well as commercial properties. Each property is unique and we aim to offer the most suitable mortar for the best match.

Our standard method of repointing stone and brickwork is as follows:

• Preparation:
  Using the highest quality tools and mortar raking discs, we cut out the damaged mortar to a precise depth, so not to damage the bricks or stone.


• Application:
  New mortar is then applied by hand (the old and trusted way!) by professional crafts personel, ensuring a firm bond and a clean profile - results that will stand the test of time.


• Lastly:
  Once the scaffold is removed, the brick/stonework and the surrounding area of the site is left 100% clean and tidy.

Exterior House Painting
Because of the sheer size of the job to paint the exterior of your house, it can be a daunting prospect. We are geared up especially for the job so you don't have to worry!

We specialise in exterior house painting and have many different methods to suit the surface type of your house. Whether it's pebbledash, roughcast or another type of rendered surface, we have the equipment at our disposal to cover it quickly and easily.

Be assured that we make sure all our work is carried out to a very high standard. For every wall that we paint, we ensure that the area is finished before the edges dry. This prevents any unsightly patches or a 'checkerboard effect' that you may have noticed when paint gets older. Only high exterior paints are used for our painting jobs; particularly Dulux, Johnstone's and Crown branded exterior paints.

Brick/Stone Slips
Brick and Stone Slips are available in a variety of shades and textured effects for a more authentic finish.

Colour Render
With the range of colours available, this type of finish can result in a dramatic look to transform the appearance of your property.

Travertine Finish
A low sheen finish that has a directional quality similar to Travertine stone. Works well in a wide variety of colours.

Roofline is the name given to the group of products used to finish off the area around the eaves, or roof of your home. These include fascias, soffits, fall/rain pipes and guttering systems. As it is the most exposed part of the building, they are subjected to constant attack from extreme temperatures and weather conditions throughout the year, which can lead to their deterioration.

A deteriorating/rotting roofline can make your property look run-down and even result in structural damage by attracting woodworm and vermin. By updating your old roofline with high quality, weather-resistant uPVC soffits and fascias you can save time and money on decorating and maintenance while also adding value to the property.

K&M install guttering systems based on the requirements of your property, including high capacity systems suitable for larger roof areas. We use only the highest quality materials that are guaranteed for 10 years.
