About Warren Conservation & Restoration
Based in Wrexham, North Wales, I am a qualified conservator with over 15 years' experience in conservation and restoration.
I studied at Lincoln University, where I achieved a National Diploma and a degree with Honours in the conservation of Historic Objects.
This then led to working for a textile conservation company working on the Waterloo Chamber carpet at Windsor Castle, from there I gathered experience working for various companies around the UK.
In 2000 I began work in the stone conservation workshop at Lincoln Cathedral where over the following 8 years I became Team Leader for the Stone Conservation Department.
In 2008 I left Lincoln Cathedral to work for a small conservation firm in Yorkshire where I gathered knowledge in the area of building conservation which included lime rendering and lime washing. After a year I moved to a new part of the UK and gained a position within a very well respected conservation company in Edinburgh, Nicolas Boyes Stone Conservation.
Within in this firm I continued to learn more new skills and knowledge working alongside highly skilled carvers, stonemasons and fellow conservators. This has then allowed me to work on some very interesting and historic buildings and projects located all over Scotland and the North of England.
