Bluebuild Renewables installed a 2.7kw PV array for us in early November. The work was paid in full. Immediately. As a result we were promised they would rush the grant paperwork through.

Three months later no grant paperwork submitted, even after numerous email promises. They have blamed their electrician (that they outsource). I have spoken to the electrician and he says it was submitted weeks ago.

Unfortunately the company director Gavin and company secretary Jacky do not respond to emails or phone calls any longer. The salesman Damien in Dublin has been missing since December and now that the money has been collected could care less about fulfilling his part of the contract. We have lodged a formal complaint with the SEAI.

To make matters worse, not only did we lose the 2900 EUR grant, the output of the array is so poor that given the performance to date, we should break even in 100 years! There is no way I would have ever purchased an array with anything more than a ten year payback as the panels only last 15-20 years. Despite receiving assurances from their salesman Damien we would have a 5-6 year payback, the owner Gavin insists the system is performing to spec!
