Starting out as a joinery manufacturing business in 1925, Morris & Spottiswood has developed into one of the leading providers of fitout, housing, M&E services and maintenance in the UK, and is still owned and run by the Morris Family, with George Morris as Chairman & an annual turnover of circa £70M.

What We Do

Fitout
We are one of the largest fitout organisations in the UK. From the roll out of national programmes, to local fitout and refurbishment projects, going further for our clients is at the heart of our service delivery.

We have a proven track record of delivering for our clients across a wide range of industry sectors, including retail, financial, leisure, commercial and public authority. We specialise in Live Environment working and are able to provide a quality product for our clients whilst operating in a Health & Safety conscious manner and ensuring client operations are able to continue with minimal disruption.

Housing

Maintenance
We have provided reactive & planned maintenance services covering all core trades, including joinery, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, gas servicing, building, flooring, roofing and decoration works. We operate a 24/7 centralised helpdesk from our head office in Glasgow which is managed by our dedicated Customer Service Hub Manager and supported by a team of fully trained Customer Service Hub Coordinators. The team handle emergency repair calls and schedule planned visits on a daily basis, keeping our customers updated at all times.

Mechanical and Electrical Services
We provide comprehensive Mechanical & Electrical services to a large portfolio of commercial, retail, financial and healthcare organisations throughout the UK, who entrust the refurbishment upgrading and maintenance of their asset to us.

Through the utilisation of our skilled and fully qualified technicians we provide installation & commissioning services, testing & inspection services, planned maintenance programmes, cyclical repairs and asset renewals undertaking projects ranging in value from £5k-£5M per scheme with our services covering heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, plumbing, lighting, power, communications, security and energy efficiency.

Flooring
We are in the unique position of directly employing skilled trades which enable us to self-deliver a range of specialist flooring services.

We have long standing agreements in place with all major flooring suppliers which enables us to provide the following types of specialist flooring in-house and more, while providing real cost savings to our Customers.
