A Plus Safety & Training Services Ltd was originally the Health & Safety division of PFA Consulting Ltd formed in 1985 as a civil engineering consultancy that grew to offer a wide range of services for many of the UK’s leading house builders, national and international commercial and retail companies, central and local government, as well as private individuals.

In 2011 the Safety, Health and Environmental staff and business were transferred to A Plus Safety Training & Consultancy Ltd in order that both companies could dedicate attention and improve the services offered in their respective specialist areas.

CSCS Card
CSCS cards provide proof that individuals working on construction sites have the appropriate training and qualifications for the job they do on-site. By ensuring that the workforce is appropriately qualified the card plays its part in improving standards and safety on UK construction sites.

When applying for a Green Labourers CSCS card you must have the appropriate construction related qualifications and training. We provide the one day Health & Safety Awareness course for which we are an accredited training centre.

Successful completion of this course along with the Health Safety & Environmental touch screen test will allow you to apply for your Green CSCS Labourers card. Candidates must have passed the CITB Health Safety and Environment touch screen test within the previous two years to be eligible to apply for the Green Labourers CSCS card.

PAT TESTING
The course is based on the IET Code of Practice and is made as practical as possible with the emphasis on hands-on learning. Delegates will receive a certificate of training upon successful completion of a 30 question multiple choice test and practical assessment.

This course is either held at client sites anywhere in the UK or various venues around the UK, including Swindon, Manchester, Heathrow, Dartford, South Mimms, Southampton, Portsmouth, Exeter, Birmingham, Preston, Rotherham, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Glasgow & Peterborough.

FIRE SAFETY
There were 27,500 fires in non-domestic premises in 2014, causing 21 fire-related deaths and over 1,200 injuries. The financial cost of fires in the workplace to industry was in excess of £7.7 Billion pounds. Having well-trained staff can greatly assist with the implementation of fire safety policy and management procedures as effective fire prevention can dramatically reduce the risk of fires occurring in the workplace.

FIRST AID
Legal Requirements Under the Health and Safety act 1974 it is a legal requirement for employers to protect the health, safety and welfare of their employees and non-employees who use their facilities.

The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 place a duty upon employers to provide adequate, facilities and personnel to render first aid to their employees if they are injured or become ill at work.

IOSH HEALTH & SAFETY TRAINING
The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) is the only Chartered body for health and safety professionals in the world and is the largest health and safety membership organisation globally with over 44,000 individual members in over 100 countries.

CITB
Site Safety Plus (SSP) provides the construction industry with a suite of courses for health and safety awareness and career development to help maintain a safe workforce.

NPORS
As an accredited NPORS Training Provider we offer a full range of NPORS training and assessments nationwide.

NPORS the National Plant Operators Registration Scheme is now one of the UK’s leading Accreditation and Registration Bodies offering flexibility, whilst maintaining standards. The National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS ) is an excellent alternative card scheme to the CPCS.
