IPAF and Fork Lift Training in Gloucester
Global FLT is a Gloucestershire based company whose aim is to promote safer working practices within the work place. We offer professional training courses to corporate and individual clients throughout Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas, on or off site.

We are a fully accredited RTITB and IPAF training centre.

With more than 25 years’ experience in the industry, our expert instructors are able to provide a personal service tailored to each individual skill level and learning style. Our instructors and advisors take a professional and sensible approach to all training and consultations.

All of our instructors are fully qualified with the relevant accredited body. Our courses include the latest accredited assessments, so you may be assured of a high calibre of operator on the successful completion of the course.


RTITB Forklift Training
We train candidates on all aspects of health and safety such as HSAWA 1974, PUWER 1998, LOLER 1998, Working at Height and Approved Code of Practice (ACOPS).


We offer trainees basic training whilst also adhering to company safety rules and procedures.

We undertake training on customer’s premises or at our modern training centre based on Gloucester Business Park on the outskirts of Gloucester.

In addition to providing accredited RTITB and IPAF courses we also offer a range of health and safety training courses, including:

Mobile Aluminium Access Towers
At Global FLT we have two types of Mobile Aluminium Towers, Beta Guard and Octo 250.
We provide training on both types of tower.

The Work at Height Regulations 2005, require that the assembly, dismantling or alteration of Mobile Access Towers should only be undertaken by a competent person, someone being trained or under the supervision of a competent person.

A competent person is a person who can demonstrate that they have sufficient professional or technical training, knowledge, actual experience, and authority* to enable them to:-

a) carry out their assigned duties at the level of responsibility allocated to them;
b) understand any potential hazards related to the work (or equipment) under consideration;
c) detect any technical defects or omissions in that work (or equipment), recognise any implications for health and safety caused by those defects or omissions, and be able to specify a remedial action to mitigate those implications.

*Note: “authority” here means delegated authority to the individual by his employer to carry out a certain function or duty.

Going onto or assembling a mobile access tower will involve working at height. The Advisory Committee on Work at Height Training (ACWAHT) indicate that for anyone who works at height, the above definition of a competent person implies:
