About Fencing and Construction Training (FACT)
CSCS and the FISS/CSCS managers have given some flexibility on the renewal of expiring cards, increasing the grace period from 6 to 12 months, but FaCT are also working with our awarding body to help you undertake some of this training before you need to go back to work. Our touch screen test centres, as with all test centres have been closed by CSCS but we can deliver training and some assessments via our new

o Location of Underground Services and CAT – HSG47
o Abrasive Wheels – HSG17

All this can be completed at home followed by one (or two) final visits to your workplace, after the social distancing requirements have been lifted.
• Funded package of Vocational Training, Level 2 Diploma in Fencing and the Blue FISS/CSCS Card
This funded package, which FaCT has been delivering from the beginning of the year, with great uptake has now been moved online.
Via our LIVE ONLINE LEARNING platform, we will provide all the training of the package, CAT, Abrasive Wheels, Safe use of Power Tools, Health and Safety Awareness and Manual Handling.
The learner induction and weekly mentoring will also take place on a one to one basis, online.
All this work can be completed at home followed by 3 or 4 onsite visits to complete work-based assessment, after the social distancing requirements have been lifted.
FaCT has reduced the overall cost to the business and will spread the payment over 3 equal instalments of £250 (+ VAT) per month saving £100.
Eligibility checks are required before enrolment.

(the government has confirmed this can be done while staff are furloughed)
Self-employed - you are not able to work so do the training or start the qualification while you can't earn
Employee - asked your employer to make the best use of this time, getting your training up to date or gaining that qualification

LIVE ONLINE LEARNING
Not just sat in front of a computer, clicking through some sides or watching a video.
FaCT has developed a fully interactive "classroom" experience online. The training is delivered live by an experienced trainer, supported with a presentation, videos and images. He will ask and answer questions, during the course, ensuring everyone is fully understanding.
The course is completed with an online question paper which is sent directly to the delegate, for completion.
Results are issued within a couple of minutes and you will receive your certificate of achievement within 24 hours.
Courses can be completed on a computer, laptop, tablet or even a smartphone. You just need internet access and a quiet space.
