About Exescodo Design Ltd
Exescodo Design Ltd is a company providing a bespoke design service for all things stonework related.
Producing working drawings for the pricing, scheduling and manufacture of stonework elements for a number of precasters, natural stone suppliers, contractors, installers and private individuals.
Specialising in the detailing of components and features for one-off mansions, housing developments, self-builds and commercial projects.
One of the main benefits for clients, is that they are able to use the detailing service as little or as often as they require and in doing so can keep their design overheads to a minimum.
Exescodo Design Ltd is twinned with manufacturers and suppliers of wet cast, dry cast and natural stonework along with a supplier of bespoke cut and bonded brickwork components. Quotations for the supply of product direct from these companies can also be arranged.
Should you have an enquiry that you require the drawing work pricing upon, or alternatively if you have a project which you require a supply price for the stonework dressings, please do get in contact for a no obligation quotation.
About Us
The company name 'Exescodo' is derived from my initial employment position, and to those who know of it, hopefully reminds of one of the U K's premier Architectural Precasters of it's time.
I was originally apprenticed by Empire Stone & Company Ltd of Narborough, Leicestershire, in their drawing office. The 'es' 'co' 'do' part of the name comes from Empire Stone, Company and Drawing Office. The 'Ex' prefix - well, I used to work there!
Empire Stone & Company Ltd was founded in 1900 and sadly ceased to trade in 1994, just 6 years short of their centenary. Over the years they were responsible for some truly fantastic projects including many of the original city centre Burtons Menswear and Marks & Spencer stores, culminating in the supply and installation of the precast units to the MI6 Building at Vauxhall Cross, London, which features in many of the James Bond films.
Without having had the benefit of being taught my trade by some very talented time served draughtsman, my business would not exist and I am proud to be a very small part of the Empire Stone history.
