Lomax + Wood is a specialist manufacturer of timber windows and doors who work closely with architects, conservation professionals and private home owners to create beautiful, made-to-order products that are designed in-house and supported with over 60 years’ of experience. Our products provide the highest levels of thermal and acoustic performance together with robust locking systems for ultimate security.


The extensive Kensington & Chelsea collection offers a full suite of coordinated products which are competitively priced and of exceptional quality. From double glazed sliding sash windows that are operated by traditional cords and weights, or by modern spring balances, to stormproof and flush casements, external French doors, bi-fold doors and custom-made entrance doors to special shapes and fixed glazed panels, we can match any style or architectural period.

For sensitive restoration projects we ensure that the end result is historically accurate in every detail and offer a single glazed option to meet the requirements of local planners. Our products are internally glazed for improved security and aesthetics.


We use only sustainable timber which achieves a strong, stable and durable frame. All of our products meet Part L Building Regulations and we are the first manufacturer to achieve a whole window U-value of 1.1 W/m²K for the Kensington & Chelsea sliding sash window, regardless of the choice of operation, as defined by the British Board of Agrément and the British Woodworking Federation.

Products are delivered direct to site, and factory-finished with three coats of high quality, durable, micro-porous paint or stain which is available in a wide choice of fashionable heritage colours. An optional dual-colour facility is also available as is an alternative range of ironmongery.


Our new range of contemporary products, which includes Tilt Turn and Alu clad windows and coordinating bi-folds and glazed entrance doors offer exceptional performance. A triple glazed option is available to Passivhaus standards.
