About Stovell & Millwater Ltd
David Stovell & Millwater is a well established, fully independent firm of Planning and Architectural Consultants offering a high degree of professional service based in the North East.
We offer the services of Chartered Town Planners and Architectural Consultants. The Managing Director David Stovell has forty years of planning experience. His experience which includes time as a Planning Inspector extends to the full range of planning matters including dealing with all types of planning applications, preparation of appeals and giving evidence at Public Inquiries. We can offer a complete design service from the concept through to completion.
As an integral part of, as well as a complement to, our planning consultancy the practice has its own in-house architectural design team. This enables us to provide, where required, a personal “one-stop” service from initial concept and ideas to finished development.
We have been established since 1985, offering independent professional advice on planning and design. The practice has successfully established a varied client base amongst large multi-national companies, smaller firms, developers, charities, solicitors, financial institutions, architects, surveyors and agencies as well as individual members of the public and environmental interest groups.
Services
Our expertise, developed over a number of years, enables us to offer a wide range of services:
Sectors
Commercial, Town Centre & Retail, Residential, Industrial, Energy, Heritage & Conservation, Rural, Government & Public Sector & Leisure & Tourism.
How Important Is A Successful Planning Decision To You?
One of the most common reasons for failure to gain planning permission is a lack of understanding of planning legislation and procedures. The Town and Country Planning system which regulates what can happen and where, is becoming increasingly complex, even for the smallest proposal.
What Are The Costs?
The cost of not gaining planning permission can be considerable when viewed in terms of inability to fulfil goals. Your costs in terms of time, effort and manpower in pursuing 'hopeless' cases, negotiations with authorities and form filling can soon mount.
Why Use Us?
As a specialist planning practice we have an intimate knowledge of the planning system and how it operates at both local and national levels.
This enables us to guide and present your ideas and proposals to greater effect in order to help you achieve desired goals in the most cost effective manner.
In short, we are able to steer clients through a maze of planning legislation and constraints that need to be negotiated with almost every present day proposal.
