At IWP Dansk we have over 35 years experience in timber window manufacture. All of our timber windows are hand-made in the UK, ensuring exceptional attention to detail and character that is rarely seen in today’s marketplace.

Our bespoke timber window manufacturing facility provides a perfect solution when it comes to manufacturing new or replacing original frames. Our carefully selected traditional tooling is especially suited to all types of windows allowing us to replicate as existing with perfect match. This is a great advantage when working with period listed buildings.

Window Refurbishment
We offer a UK-wide repair and refurbishment services for all types of windows and architectural features including ironmongery, mouldings, doors, columns and conservatories. As one of the UK’s leading architectural conservation companies, we pride ourselves on delivering a high-quality, energy efficient results whilst at the same time preserving the original character and features of the building.

Timber Restoration and Resin Repairs
In 1982, IWP Dansk became the main UK distributor for a range of unique wood repair products and since then we have amassed a great deal of experience in the repair, maintenance and conservation of existing timber joinery.

There are major advantages to the resin repair products used by IWP Dansk. They offer good adhesion and slump resistance, contain no pigment or extenders, are easy to dispense and mix and offer the same characteristics and longevity as wood. We carry full details of our products and their specification to know how to carefully and safely apply them to the substrate we are working on.

Steel Windows
Steel is the strongest material on the market for windows and doors and is incomparable to any other material for its strength. Our steel frames will outlive the building they are installed in which is why they are often a favourable choice for many structures both old and new.

With such strength, clients will often believe flexibility, design and aesthetics must be compromised. However, with our partnered in-house steel window service means you get the strength with all the versatility of Aluminium. This allows for the most demanding of specifications from curved frames to unusual dimensions to not only be met but exceeded.

Bespoke GRP Window Liners
We design, manufacture and install bespoke window liners which can be coupled with the installation of all types of windows to complete a fully finished system.

GRP Window liners can come fully finished in a range of matte and gloss coats, with all RAL colours, and where necessary we can design in a bonded rigid insulation to prevent any thermal bridging from the window frame or facade. The GRP window liners can then be fully sealed to the window system and fixed to the opening with either a secret clip fixing or bonded using a high specification adhesive.

Weatherproofing Facades and Specialist Concrete Repairs
In most cases you find heritage buildings have moved and weathered over time and as such all openings are different and require more than just ‘making good’.

We consult leading material specialist such as Dow Corning, Illborkk, Fosroc and Gypsum to specify the right product for the job. Further work is done to colour match and then careful consideration is taken in the design and methodology needed to ensure a careful and successful installation.

Architectural Ironmongery
Traditional ironmongery such as hinges, locks fasteners and counterbalancing mechanisms are an integral item in many of the conservation and heritage projects we undertake. Forged by hand, the plain and practical items have become increasingly ornate over the years and now include architectural features such as finials and intricate door knobs and handles.

Independent Heritage Surveys and Consultancy
At IWP Dansk our work does not just start and end with a quality job. We also like to be involved in pre-construction to assist clients and architects so that they are well informed and that the work they require can be achieved and is specified correctly regardless of any work procurement.
