Three Ways Fire Prevention Services Ltd has been owned and ran by Richard and Shirley Ball since July 2003. Threeways is an approved Safe Contractor - the company has grown from an unknown to one which is used (throughout the nuclear industry in particular) nationwide.

Staff are trained to IOSh and NEBOSH standard. Qualified to a British Standard recognised standard in the service and maintenance of fire extinguishers and fire hose reels. We have over 30 years fire fighting experience and this has given us a solid foundation to enable us to carry out the testing of fire fighting equipment and give advice on what customers should and shouldn’t purchase.

We are one of very few companies throughout the uk who have full insurance to train with live fire.

Extinguisher Maintenance
Three Ways Fire carry out fire extinguisher maintenance, supply and service from anyone who may have just one in the corner shop to a nuclear power station who has up to 1600 units which are checked every 12 weeks. We will supply you with a certificate of works along with a location sheet which will allow you to see what extinguishers will require testing etc. for the next ten years. All our fire extinguishers have a 5 year warranty and in the event of a problem within this period it will be changed without delay.

Fire Risk Assessment
Three Ways Fire Prevention have been carrying out fire risk assessments since October 2003. More than 10 years later are happy to say we have carried out fire risk assessments for the smallest of sheds to largest of locations.

The format we use is widely accepted and known by the fire and rescue services in the South West of England. We currently carry out fire risk assessments for a major electricity supplier in the region.

Hot Works Training
This course is for individuals or groups who need to demonstrate that they can carry out hot works safely and in accordance with the current legislation.

Fire Hose Pressure Testing
We can offer what we believe to be the most comprehensive fire hose testing services available. Our experience and high standard of work means every hose we test will be able to cope with the high pressures on the fire ground.

With over 30 years combined fire service experience and external training in the procedure enables us to test hoses up to and over 20 bar pressure if required. 60 bar maximum test pressure available.

Training

Warden/Marshall Training
This course is designed for staff taking on the role of the fire this course contains the following warden/marshal. This can be designed to cover specifics to ensure correct delivery.

Fire Extinguisher Training
This course is designed for those wishing to teach staff how to use a fire extinguisher and a variety of topics listed below. This course contains the following:

• Fire alarm activation procedure and what to do if they discover a fire

This covers the fire triangle, the three ways in which fire spreads and real footage showing what can go wrong:

• Practical session in the use of fire extinguishers using our gas powered simulator
• An assessment which covers everything in the course to show a full understanding.
• This course lasts about 2 ½ hours
• Maximum of twelve persons

Hot Works / Fire Watching Training Courses
Hot Works Fire Training is a must for all persons who are carrying out any work which produces sparks, excessive heat or other tasks in which a fire can be caused by the process they are carrying out.

The course covers everything required to ensure hot works can be completed safely and efficiently. Examples of hot work permits etc. are all discussed and we round the course off with a practical fire training session using our propane powered gas simulator which replicates class A, B, C and electrical fires.
