Why use Properla
When the pores of a wall collect moisture more heat is transferred than would be possible if the cavities were filled with air. The thermal conductivity of the wall decreases enormously with dampness. Tests have shown that a damp content of 5% in a plain brick wall, for example, can lower the insulation performance by up to 50%, especially where cavity wall insulation has been installed. Porous building materials, such as natural stone, brick and solid brick normally have good insulating properties as they have air-filled cavities, which offer low thermal conductivity but only when they are dry.
A treated surface with proPERLA® Masonry Creme and proPERLA® Coloured Facade Coating will insulate mineral building materials by reducing water absorption. The lifespan of a treatment is more than 20 years. ProPERLA penetrates deep into the substrate, creating an invisible insulation barrier that reduces water absorption by more than 95%.
ProPERLA® has been tested according to EN ISO 15148:2002, demonstrating excellent hygrothermal performance on concrete, mortar, brick, and sandstone and the surface can be penetrated by up to 17mm to create an insulating barrier.
ProPERLA EXTERIOR FACADE COATING
Smooth and dirt-resistant and silicon emulsion based exterior facade coating for optimum protection against weathering.
Where to use
Highly weather resistant and in particular a dirt-resistant exterior paint for use on mineral surfaces as well as renovation finishes on stable silicate and mat dispersion paint coatings, synthetic resin plasters and intact thermal insulation composite systems.
Keeps facades dry to maximum depth permanently!
