Fujitsu is part of the Fujitsu Group, one of the best known and most successful engineering and electronics organisations in the world. Fujitsu General was founded in 1936 in Kawasaki, Japan, and has grown into a successful global network. The company has been developing air conditioning systems since 1963, with products available throughout the UK from Fujitsu's authorised distributors and sales agents.
Fujitsu General Air Conditioning (UK) Limited has been trading in the UK since 1986. The company designs and manufactures a broad and innovative range of air conditioning systems to provide heating and cooling for both residential and commercial environments.

The company’s head office in Elstree, Hertfordshire, includes a state-of-the-art training centre, designed to keep installers up to date with the latest air conditioning products and legislation. Fujitsu's comprehensive training courses and CPDs are delivered by highly experienced engineers. Courses range from simple product overviews of Fujitsu's air conditioning equipment, through to maintenance and troubleshooting exercises for VRF split and air-to-water heat pump systems.

R32 Multi Split Systems
This year, Fujitsu has continued to build on its R32 line-up with 2,3,4 and 5-unit Multi Split Systems, allowing control of several indoor units with one outdoor and offering a large selection of indoor finishes to match customer requirements.
All models achieve high energy efficiency rankings of A+++ for cooling and A++ for heating by using DC twin rotary compressors. The Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) reaches 8.7 and a Seasonal Coefficient of Performance (SCOP) of 4.7
Five types and 41 models are available in capacities from 2 – 6 kW with a wide range of options for both residential and commercial applications.

Fourth Generation VRF
The fourth generation of Fujitsu VRF sees high efficiency and advanced connectivity throughout range, with the industry’s first 50 kW front discharge outdoor unit now capable of connecting up to 42 indoor units. Simultaneous operation through AirstageTM VR-IV heat recovery products reduces operating costs through transfering energy between rooms instead of rejecting energy outside. Design flexibility is enhanced through the ability to install multiple indoor units on one refrigerant branch unit port, saving capital costs when serving large open plan areas. Precision refrigerant control allows room temperature to be regulated to +- 0.5oC, enhancing user comfort.
Fujitsu VRF systems can be utilised to provide air conditioning for a variety of high end residential, light commercial and larger commercial applications, ranging from small offices, schools and hotels. Compact indoor units reduce the size of installation areas, while centralised remote control systems enable advanced temperature and operational management. Recent installations include the landmark Hoover Building and the renowned tourist attraction HMS Belfast on the River Thames. Utilising the Internet of things (IoT), Fujitsu also provides services that allow users to control their air conditioning systems from their smartphones. A mobile service tool also facilitates remote monitoring of an entire system for easy maintenance error diagnosis and troubleshooting.

New applied solutions are available through Fujitsu’s partnerships with Clint chillers and Montair close control systems, providing ERP 2021 compliance for both comfort and process cooling applications and low GWP refrigerant options such as the HFO 1234ze throughout.

Air-cooled chillers

• 6-22 kW heat pump solutions from compact chassis
• 7 kW-1.4 MW from a single module and 7 kW- 1.1 MW heat pump options
• 4-pipe simultaneous operation with energy recovery and potable hot water generation are also available

Liquid-cooled chillers

• 4 kW-4 MW cooling capacity with scroll, screw and the energy efficient Turbocor compressor options. Heat pump variations offer a maximum capacity of 474 kW.
• Dry coolers and hydronic modules are also available

Close control systems
For 40 years, Montair has been the name of excellence in precision air conditioning in high technology environments, offering cooling systems for technical applications such as server rooms and telecommunication plants. Montair provides energy efficient inverter-controlled DX, and chilled water close control units, with dual fluid and dual circuit options along with free cooling. They are suitable for both medium and high density in rack solutions.

The Fujitsu Services building in Warrington was also recognised as Air Conditioning Project of the Year at the ACR News Awards for its use of Turboline Chillers with Ultra Low GWP refrigerant.
