KFC is a southern based company covering south east of England including London & home counties, with over 30 years experience in fire protection & building trade including design, manage & supply & intall on major projects such as hospitals, retail, schools, commerical & public buildings.
Also being members of FPA (Fire Protection Association), ASFP (Association for Specialist Fire Protection) & BWF (British Woodwork Federation) & also supporting the BWF Fire Door Scheme.

Fire Doors
Your car needs a MOT ever year by law, fire doors are no different, inspection or a service on a regular basis every six months is recommended & every three months for heavily used doors.
Remember you the property owner/landlord/building manager or FM must understand the requirements & responsibility of the fire doors standards & regulation in your buildings set out under the RRO (Reglatory Reform Order) issued in 2005.
Fire certificates for buildings where issued by the local fire brigdes, these have no legal status anymore & the fire service is no longer involved in checking the fire safety of buildings.
Fire Door Upgrades
Upgrading to existing doors to fire rating standards can be achived using a intumescent coating and or a intumescent card system along with fire door seals & fire rated ironmomgery.
KFC strongly recommend site surveys to investigate the best method of application or you may email us to request a door upgrade form, which you can return & we will advise you on your options.
KFC are the people to advise you on the suitability of your fire doors, by carrying out a full detail report & give recommendations for the maintenance or remedial action required if any. We can also offer a suitable fire door manufacturer or installer.
