1. Upgrades to Existing Door and Window Locks

For homes, businesses, garages, sheds, rented properties etc with insurance-approved replacement locks where applicable.

Security Grilles supplied and fitted.

Strengthening door frames, lock keeps and doors surrounding locks can be offered.

Whilst British Standard locks may give you peace of mind and satisfy insurance requirements, additional hardware may be added to further enhance the security of the door or window, thus providing a formidable barrier to even the most determined attack. Please ask for details to suit your individual requirements.

2. New Locks Fitted

For exterior doors and windows where applicable, all locks offered will be of a standard approved by insurance companies. For example, all external timber doors should be a minimum of 44mm thick and fitted with at least a BS3621 mortise lock. Any new locks offered will be of the latest BS3621/2004 model.

As qualified and accredited trading locksmiths we advise customers to fit British Standard locks & security hardware. These will always be offered as the first choice regardless of the type of lock being replaced on external entrance/exit doors.

Please be aware that your insurance company may well specify this in the policy and customers are advised to check with their respective insurance company’s first.

Therefore, the fitting of British Standard security hardware is a sensible and cost effective way to protect the people and property you value the most.

These British Standard locks have been designed to provide increased resistance from many forms of attack including drilling, picking, sawing, jemmying and other forced attacks. Whilst these locks might be marginally more expensive than non-BS alternatives, they offer considerably more protection.

3. 24 Hour Non-Destructive Door Opening Service

Non-Destructive opening of doors is always our priority.

Our Locksmiths will gain entry by employing Non-Destructive Entry (NDE) techniques. Such techniques require specialist tools and a vast amount of practice to enable the Locksmith to become proficient. The benefits to the customer are:

Due to the cost of training, tooling and levels of dedication required, the Locksmith will be a skilled tradesman who will take pride in his work whilst respecting your property.

4. Restricted keys

We are able to provide locks that are fitted with restricted keys. Any additional keys required at a later date can only be provided by us. This will ensure that your keys will not be legally duplicated by anyone else and therefore prevent unwanted copying. Ideal for rented properties, businesses, schools etc.

This will also beat some more recent forms of attack to locks, giving additional peace of mind.

5. Security gates and Grilles

To further enhance the security of your building you may consider the addition of Security Gates or Grilles. These will provide an extremely potent deterrent and extra barrier to the potential burglar. Please ask for details for our supply and fitting service.

6. Key Cutting

Have you ever had keys cut from high street shops, only to return home and find that they do not work. We provide an On Site Key Cutting service which ensures that all keys will work.

9. Security Surveys

Clients are encouraged to request a Free – No Obligation Security Inspection. During this inspection the locksmith will assess your property and if necessary make recommendations to improve your security. In some cases improvements can be made by the owner at little or no extra cost without any further intervention from us.

The locksmith will prepare a report for you to study at your convenience and leave you a suitable period of time to decide whether to proceed with the recommendations or not. Please feel free to discuss the recommendations with the local Crime Prevention Officers and Fire Brigade Fire Safety Teams.

There is absolutely no obligation for the customer to proceed with the work at any point until formal agreement later.
