Extremely poor service and extremely poor customer aftercare are the two things I would say about this business. My experience mirrors almost exactly the review posted below. I too employed Mr. Whipp in October, 2019 and I too have had repeated problems since October with the work he carried out. The majority of my `phone calls and texts have also been ignored by Mr. Whipp and when they have been answered and he has promised to attend, he has either failed to turn up or turned up and gone away again with the problems still remaining. When the work was initially carried out, I paid out almost £1000 in good faith in response to two electronic invoices sent by Mr. Whipp immediately the work was complete. When these were not paid on the day they were issued, Mr. Whipp began chasing me up by text and`overdue invoice` emails in a bid to secure immediate payment (presumably before we had any rain !!). At the present time (18th May, 2020) I am left very much out of pocket financially and with badly leaking roofs at the two properties Mr. Whipp worked on - one is actually worse now then when he first arrived. In light of the lock-down situation being eased, I sent text messages to Mr. Whipp at 9am on each day last week and only when we reached Friday and I sent a text advising of my decision to take legal action, did I receive any response - that response very briefly being that Mr. Whipp cannot help me at the present time !! Needless to say, I have now reached a point of total exasperation and for this reason my planned next step is to pursue legal action in the hope of recovering my expenditure. Meanwhile, I intend to approach an appropriate tradesman to rectify the problems at the two properties and to utilise the invoices from that work, together with `photographs, etc. to form part of my claim against Mr. Whipp. In short, I cannot afford financially to write off the money I have paid to Mr. Whipp and I cannot live with the leaks which remain present following the work which was carried out. The whole experience has been upsetting, frustrating, worrying and completely exasperating to me. If a person does not know how to repair a roof then the advice must be ..."don`t set up a Roofing Service Business".

They came to fix leaks on Apex of roof ,agreed to replace one section of roof took £2750 including an extra £275 for replacement slates .Foolishly gave them the money when the job wasnt finished.This was last October 2019 they would just disappear not turn when they were suppose to be here and ever since I have had nothing but leaks, it has leaked the down bedroom wall exposing brickwork.There are slates hanging of the roof there are areas where slates just arent flush.The felt under the slates is exposed and can be seen.When I look at the roof from the inside they have replaced some but not all of the timber.There are two valley boards that are so wet they just crumble in my hand . There are so many slate pieces just shoved in gapes between slates.
There are gaps all over in between the slates.An expert got round to inspect it he laughed and said this is the most unprofessional job hed witnessed.I have a so called 15 year guarantee and trying endlessly to get them to rectify their mistakes I have found the just ignore me they dont even answer me.I have sent over 80 messages to them regarding this.
I am still left with a dangerous roof with slates ready to fall on people.My walls are wet , the roof timber is sodden and Im still £2750 out of pocket.Here I am nearly 6 months March 2020 later same situation.I would advise anybody thinking of using these think very carefully and dont always fall promises and please read all the bad reviews they have.These guys said right at the beginning cowboy roofers give all the good roofers a bad name hahaha.I shall be taking this to Trustmark to get their inspection of the job done
