Gleeson Steel & Engineering Ltd
Gleeson Steel & Engineering Ltd is an engineering company, based in Gortnahoe, Thurles, Co. Tipperary. The company specialises in truck body building for the HGV sector and high quality livestock trailers for the agricultural industry. It also specialises in steel fabrication and structural steel solutions for both the commercial and agricultural sectors.

The company was founded in 1968 by the Gleeson family and is still run on a day-to-day basis by the family.

In 2014, we achieved compliance with the requirements of I.S. EN1090-1:2009+A1:2011 for CE marking of structural steel up to Execution Class 2 (EXC 2), which covers the fabrication of most of the structural steel used in Ireland and the UK. We also received type approval for our commercial vehicle body building.

Tipper Trucks – Standard Specification and Tarmac Specification
We manufacture tipper bodies to suit all makes and models of 26 tonne and 32 tonne HGVs. All our bodies are highly versatile and strong, and are manufactured to each customer’s unique operational requirements. Chutes and insulation can be added to any model to facilitate tarmac.

Livestock Bodies and Trailers
Our livestock bodies and trailers are manufactured to the customer’s requirements for the transportation of sheep and cattle. Optional extras available.

All Farm Buildings constructed by Gleeson Steel & Engineering are built and erected in accordance with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food grant specifications S101.

Our products are erected on site by a team of qualified steel erectors, all of whom are trained in all on-site safety measures and procedures.

Kiosks and Chemical Storage
Our range of GMS KIOSKS provide customers with a guarantee of fast delivery, superior quality and a competitive price. The kiosks are durable, secure and compact. They can be used for the storage of a wide range of equipment.
